He is a Commerce graduate from Calcutta University and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and is a member of institute of British Management, London.
He has a rich experience of over 48 years out of which he has spent over 25 years with Lloyds Steel Group. He has worked with Bhushan Steel Group, Jindal India and associated with Large Organizations like Godrej. His experience covers geographies across USA, Middle East, Europe, South East Asia, Taiwan, Japan and China with cross functional experience of Marketing, Sales, International Trade and Corporate Affairs is widely regarded and appreciated.
During his long career as a professional, he has played a vital role in procurement of Steel from Large Steel Companies in India, Imports from Japan, South Korea, China and Europe. He has also acquired significant experience in Finance, Taxation, Legal areas and coordination with regulatory bodies and tax authorities and legal Courts viz. High Court and Supreme Court of India.
While serving as the Head of Exports at Bhushan Steel Group and Jindal India, he has developed and established new markets for Galvanized Steel products, Cold Rolled Steel in China, South East Asia, Europe, South Africa and Middle East. He has also developed sourcing strategy for procurement of Hot Rolled Coils from International markets such as CIS, Europe and China.
He is extensively travelled to All South East Asia, China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, USA, Europe, Russia, South Africa, Iran and Middle East.
